Welcome to Weave (the "App"), an interactive word-blank generator powered by artificial intelligence. We respect your privacy and are committed to maintaining a secure, transparent environment. This policy outlines exactly how data is processed when you build templates and stitch stories together using our App.

We believe in data minimization. We only process data that is technically necessary to run the AI engine or automatically captured by publishing platforms to ensure app stability.

No Accounts

Weave requires no registrations, user profiles, or logins. Your identity remains anonymous to us.

Ad Telemetry

We use Google AdMob to serve rewarded ads. Ad metrics and diagnostics are handled by Google.

2Personal Information

Weave does not collect, harvest, or request any personal identifiers. When you download and play Weave:

  • We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or account details.
  • We do not access your device's camera, microphone, contact lists, photos, or physical location.
  • No profiling or behavioral marketing identifiers are established.

3AI Prompt Storage

When using our Cloud Generation mode (powered by Firebase Vertex AI), Weave processes the subject and tone parameters you select to create the customized story template.

What is stored on the Cloud:

  • The AI Prompt payload: The theme sentence and tone choice (e.g. "A clumsy zombie cook-off in space" under a "Goofy" tone) are transmitted to and processed by our cloud models to construct the JSON story structure.
  • System logs: Anonymous, high-level prompt payloads may be logged temporarily to monitor quality, assess response parsing errors, and prevent service abuse.

We do not associate these prompts with any user identity, as we have no user databases or registration systems.

4Google Play Console Telemetry

Weave uses standard, platform-level telemetry provided automatically by the Google Play Store console when distributing the application.

What Google Play Console tracks automatically:

  • Stability logs: Application Not Responding (ANR) occurrences and crash dump logs to help us trace code bugs.
  • Performance metrics: Device hardware profiles, screen sizes, operating system versions, and aggregated country locations.
  • Usage counts: Installation counts, active daily counts, and uninstall metrics.

All telemetry data is aggregated, anonymized, and processed in accordance with the Google Play Developer Distribution Agreement.

5Data Sharing with Third-Parties

We do not sell, rent, trade, or distribute your data. Usage parameters and diagnostic information are processed by the following services to run the App's features:

  • Firebase / Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Hosts the cloud-based generative AI systems used when Cloud Mode is selected. Data transmission is encrypted and processed according to Google Cloud privacy standards.
  • Google AdMob: Serves rewarded video ads to enable story generation. AdMob collects device identifiers, general location estimates, and ad engagement statistics for personalization, diagnostic reporting, and analytics in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

6Data Security

All communication between the App and the cloud servers (when using online generation modes) is secured using standard **HTTPS/TLS encryption** protocols. This ensures your prompt entries cannot be intercepted by third-parties during transit.

7Children's Privacy

Our App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain European jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect or request personal information from children.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to delete that data from our server logs.

8Regional Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on your location (such as the European Union under GDPR or California under CCPA), you may possess specific rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of Access & Deletion: You have the right to request access to or deletion of your personal data.
  • Data Portability: You have the right to request a copy of the data we process.

However, because Weave operates in a data-minimized environment with no user accounts, profile indices, or tracking identifiers, we do not possess any records that can identify individual users. Consequently, we cannot retrieve, modify, or delete data upon request, as we have no technical means to verify which data (if any) corresponds to your device.

9Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new privacy policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top of the policy.

You are advised to review this privacy policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this privacy policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
